    I took this shot at a little zoo just outside St Louis, Mo The background was so distracting I just made the whole thing go dark.

    I like it James !!! That is one effective way to treat a busy bg !!! Fitting for such an elegant bird !!!! As presented would take some from the back side !!! Big Congrats !!!

    good solution James, would like to see a bit sharper edge along tail feathers, esp left and bottom.

    nice effective saturation

    Well, since this is in the Eager To Learn forum technically calling this bird a male Peacock is an oxymoron. It's either a Peacock or a male Peafowl. A female would be a Peahen or a female Peafowl. There simply aren't any female Peacocks! With that out of the way this was an effective way to isolate and highlight this beautiful bird.
