    Default A flying eye!

    I spent a day photographing burrowing owls with my friend David Salem at his location in southern California. The owls were active and we had many keepers. This is an adult owl. We used vehicle as a blind.

    1DX 600 II f/5.6 1/4000sec ISO 500 handheld from truck. full frame shot

    Spectacular flight shot with apt title. Beautiful lights, colors, nice BG and composition.

    Great image, such a nice angle flying into the frame. Exposure , bg everything looks superb. If this was a one off capture your luck is in - buy a lottery ticket quick.

    Thanks Ivan, with the right choice of location/time, technique (and the right equipment) you can get shots like this consistently, it is not just luck. I will post more frames in the coming days. I'm actually not lucky at all when it comes to raffle let alone lottery :D
