    Default Sand Hill Crane and hatchling...

    My previous thread showed a Sand Hill Crane turning the eggs. This thread shows the first hatchling on the first day. The adult is still sitting on the second egg.

    Nikon D7000
    Nikon 55-300mm F/4.5-5.6 VR AF shot at 300mm (450mm FFE)
    1/500 F/16 ISO 900

    Very very nice.
    Perfect BG. If possible I would like an horizontal flip and then more pace on the right ...where mother and son are watching

    Not a bad looking pair. If it were mine, I think I would crop some from the bottom and add a little on top if you have it. This is really cute!
