    This is another shot from my trip to the Isle of May. On arriving at the island, you have to go through a gauntlet of these birds, which sometimes get too close, as I found out, when one drew blood from my head The way this bird is looking, it may well have been this one . Well worth it though.

    Arctic terns certainly are agressive creatures. You are right, the eye contact is nice…I wish for the far wing to be raised as well….have any?

    A bit tight in the frame IMO but I love the exposure, details, and subtle hint of cloud in the sky. Not often we see both eyes on a tern image...neat.

    Good story and good work William. I agree with Daniel that the bird could have a bit more space but it is a matter of personal taste - it is still a very fine capture. Cheers, Ian.
