    One of my favorites from the snowy owl season.
    Canon 1Dx
    f 600mm
    ISO 400 SS 1/2000@f 8
    I took this in Barrie Ontario. She was baited.
    Full frame vertical crop from landscape orientation.
    PP: Crop, levels, DE at 3% on owl. Added 2 % canvas on RHS
    Comments and critiques always appreciated and learned from with thanks.

    What a nice pose Gail. I can see why it's your fave. Looks great against that light blue BG. The exposure looks great and we can see lots of beautiful feather detail. Nice that we can see the eye and even though it is not looking at us, I like the forward stare. Very nice.

    Wonderful full-winged ventral view, great light and detail, nice eye. I'd be tempted to give a slivver more room top and bottom, but I'm sure you wanted folks to concentrate on the beautiful bird.

    Hi Gail, good choice with the vertical comp, and just love the underwing detail and eye contact. Overall well exposed, sharp, and Im fine with the sky BG. Well captured.

    Superb image...love the exposure, pose and details. I think I will be spending some time in Ontario next winter!
