Hi Carl , nice relaxed looking side profile of this relative big ? cub .
Well composed with good detail and great sharpness where it counts.Good tonal range and color, just wondering about the magenta looking reds in the soil and in the fur on RHS ?.
I think you can push the HL slider in levels a bit more to get a bit more life in the image and add very slight mid tone , just personal preference .

Good light and detail showing here Carl especially with the 2.0 tc, shame we can't quite see both eyes clearly but understand that's something not always achieved.
Agree with Andreas on the magenta patch that's evident in just one area.

Hi Carl, a very nice image indeed and your PP work is improving with each posting, WD

The composition works and I feel the subject is well positioned and spot on within frame. I also like the relaxed gaze, just taking thing in. WB seems spot on, but agree with Andreas about the Red & Magenta, if you address this with an adjustment layer & mask you'll be there. You could add a 50% Midtone, but as presented the whites look good and overall the image reflects the time of day, and light, although you could add a tad more richness to the subject, but like Andreas, personal preference.

Keep them coming and the hard work is really paying off Carl.

Agree about the magenta but that is a nice close-up, maybe the whites a tad cyan on the chin?

Hi Carl - I agree, your pp just keeps improving. Nice detail, sharpness and dof. I like the comp as well. I agree on the magenta and red in the area indicated and also the very slight cyan in the chin. Keep them coming.

    Rachel

    Hi Carl,

indeed a very nice image of this cub. Most has been said already above. Just wonder a bit, since you darkened the BG, did you do it selective or with a graduate ( hope got that right again) ?
Watch the ear tops and top of the head, that is slightly a bit to dark compared to the rest of the face. No deal breaker at all, just saw it first

    Have a great day

    Ciao

Hi everyone - thanks for all your input and comments - noted. Sorry I am late back here but it is fire season and late night burning fire breaks and runaway fires accounts for long hours and lack of decent sleep.

Thanks Steve and Rachel for your encouragement. Anette I used Viveza 2 with control points so I may have forgotten to add one or two control points to stop overlapping!
Steve I will add some warmth as suggested but was concentrating on keeping it a steal as possible due to the time of day. There was already some heat wave stuff hanging around even at 10am isn if I remember correctly.
    Thanks again ALL

A nice profile, Carl - good to still have some colour in the eyes and overall detail looks good.
I'm not on a good monitor atm so will refrain from colour comments. Your PP is definitely progressing! Good luck with fire season - just came from the general area and smoke was rising often...

Beautiful image. Most has been said. I would also add some richness to colours especially on the cat which would take the eye away from the mauve background.
