Hi folks another break from Africa and Mr Seal is back on the stage , LOL.

Another one from that series and found even more on my HD i forgot that i have taken them.

    Canon EOS 1D MK IV
    EF 5,6 800 mm IS L
    Tripod

    cropped for comp

    F 8 ; Iso 1600 ; 1/400 sec ; manual exposure

Processed in Photo Ninja and PS CC

Hope you like it , even if looking brutal , but that happened in nature , still have not found out if that happens on a regular basis.

Thanks for commenting to my previous post

    Cheers Andreas

Superb techs etc and everything right photographically but ----
Animals and most things in the natural world (to put it un scientifically) are "designed" so that inter breeding is difficult due to physical characteristics etc, etc.. All the way down to plants etc. OK - I know this sort of things happen but many like me are not too keen on seeing them. When I photographed the Sparrow Hawk eating live sand martin chicks 6 feet in front of me I did not feel happy. But I accept - I still kept snapping !!

Brutal, but it is a wonderful picture, great angle, light and processing.

Hi Andreas - I think this one is more poignant due to the expression of the harbor seal. Great low pov and detail with beautiful golden light.

    Hi Andreas,,

the chap even has a smile on his face
Love the color and expression of both animals. Maybe toning down a bit of the bright areas of the waves helps a bit to pop more, not sure. I just would give it a try. Just me.

    Ciao
    Anette

PS I did not read the other comments, busy again!

The best one from this brutal series Andreas, the light, low angle and pained expression on the young one makes this a standout.

The low angle and sharpness makes this picture look so true to life.
