    Default Gnu sunrise

Found this lone gnu trundling along the edge of Lake Ndutu @ Sunrise.
This could also work as a pano crop, but I favoured the blue to yellow sky transition in it's normal 2:3 ratio.

I like the setting, typical of the African bush with the Acasias on the horizon. The hint of detail min the dark fore ground and the layer of tress help to give dimension. Nicely done.

Hi Marc - I think this works well and like the comp as presented. I would not go with a pano crop because it needs the clouds in the upper right corner for some additional interest.

Hi Marc works well as presented with just enough detail and good colors.

    Hi Marc,

very nice image of this one. Love the colors and no way for pano for me. I agree with Rachel, it needs the clouds. Somehow I have the feeling that in the LH upper corner it looks a bit "smootchy", must a darker cloud come in or so.
I might would address that a bit. Just me as usual

    Have a great eve

    Ciao

    Thanks Annette

As the sun is just rising on the right, you have a progression of light to darker areas moving across the light spectrum, that's all.

Stunning - love it. Love the weary look of the wildebeest.

Absolutely loving this, Marc! I really like the way Edward described the subject in his comments above, the word "weary" came to my mind as soon as I opened the thumbnail and looked at the image. Superb colours, love the comp, I would also love a pan version just as much

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
