    Default Calling Golden Plover

    Hi All,

I've not posted anything for a while so, I thought I'd share one from my trip to Scotland (Uist's) - A Calling Golden Plover.

I've wanted to capture this for a while but have struggled only grabbing record shot's, happy with this one though.

    Canon 5D 3 - Canon 500mm + 1.4 - 1/1600s F5.6 ISO 800 - Handheld

    Cheers,

    Carl.

I love the lighting and colours on this. Everything seems to be in harmony from the soft BG pallet, to the interesting rock perch, to the feather patterns on the plover. The open beak also make the shot. I can almost hear him. The low angle of view really simplifies this image. Nicely done.

    Thanks everyone, much appreciated.

Chris, thanks. I did think about taking a little more off the top but it didn't quite look right, looked a little too central.

    Cheers,

    Carl.

What a fine image!!! It's crisp, the color palette is awesome and I love that calling pose. While you could go tighter, I am liking the space you have given the plover!
