Yesterday Bill Dix and I went to a local preserve in search of the Blue-winged Warbler. Sometimes you get lucky and minutes after arriving at the location, a pair appears.
I know there are branches and leaves that could be removed, and I did attempt to remove the leaves in the breast and lower belly areas, but my masking skills on this one were not so great.
Great singing pose, and I think you did a good job on the BG. My only wish would be for the tail not to intersect the left twig. (I'll share my solution to that problem in due course.) Quite a lovely warbler shot of a beautiful little bird. He was very cooperative, other than refusing to use the perfect perch that we provided for him, but this one works just fine.
Thanks Karl and Bill. My post description may be missleading. I should have said that my attempts at masking and trying to remove some of the BG failed several times, and in the interest of keeping detail on the edge feathers of the breast and belly area, I left it as shot.
Don't mind the typical warbler habitat at all. A bit tight in the frame for my taste and some of the yellows on the forehead and cheek look a bit oversaturated.
