Another from the series. We had a number of awesome sightings over the period but this one of a mother and her 12 week old cub really stands out for me.

Hi Brendon, glad you chose to post this, a very sweet image indeed. I like the composition and the fact the cub is looking to you and mum is relaxed and looking away. I would have perhaps gone to f/5.6, however I think you will find it's -0.33EV . The 600 gave good reach without compromise and the flash is nice and well balanced. I wondered about pegging the golden yellow back a bit, WDYT? It does however convey some nice light. An endearing image.

Hi Brendon very nice one with the cute cub and the relaxed looking mum.Good handling of flash use , that makes me think i should learn that cause it looks almost natural light .
I like the framing and overall tones , asking myself about a bit more detail and the reddish looking yellows ?

so i took the liberty to adjust that as far as i can do , hope you do not mind and would like to hear feedback from all viewers.

Hi Brendon - a very tender moment well captured. Love the composition with them looking in different directions and I agree that the use of flash here is very natural. I prefer the colors of the op.

You know I love this, Mr Cremer. A leopard photo we all want.

Another cracker here Brendon, love the bonding depicted here with the intertwining of mum & cub, nice dappled light here as well.
I'd be proud to have this in my files.

The OP post for me and see nothing wrong with those colours & tone,

    TFS

Nothing to add to the other comments - such a great shot, the cub leaning against mom in typical cat fashion! Well done on this one!

    Hi Brendon

What a moment captured at an ideal angle!

The only crit I have is the blue in the cub's eyes from the flash..

    Was the flash off camera?

I tried flash a while ago, my limited knowledge with the speedlight, with the results made me put it away quickly, there is still SO much I do not know...

I lift my hat to you sir, for this capture

    Andre

Don't know much about these sorts of animals but I like the picture. The cubs expression makes it for me. Great stuff.

Thanks very much all. Andreas, thanks again for the RP, i find it a little light and has lost some of the warm punch the scene had as the time, i do like the improved tone to the branch and tree tho so may play with this a little.

hi Brendon no problemo as always at first comes the author of the image , then people like me are coming into play and having thoughts , i like to share my thoughts , mostly easier to show it via RP rather than describe it within my limited English.

I am totally ok with your opinion , you were there and not me , i do the same with my frame , so all is good .

Again nothing wrong with the base OP , even if other(s) understand maybe i meant that by making an RP . I would be proud if i would have that kind of image on my hard drive , or even have seen that in the wild …………….

    Cheers Andreas
