Photographed these dandelion seeds blowing away under cloudy skies between rains. Used a reduced opacity layer of shadow recovery from Topaz Adjust 5. It shifted the tonal balance to a softer effect. Added a subtle border from Nik Color Efex Pro and shaded it from one of the soft greens in the image. Then a few PS tweaks.

Took a break from the computer and looked outside to see a bear crossing our meadow! Glad I'm not hunkered down in the grasses taking these pictures right now. We might have surprised each other !

I like the OOF wisp at the front as it looks like it might be in motion. The greens look quite saturated, maybe a touch less yellow. I like the flow of the image from left to right. A bear, not that would get the heart rate up! Grizzly or black, guess it doesn't really matter when they are that big!!!!!

This is one of those iconic images that every photographer wants to get and you have a very nice version here! I'm still waiting for the right place, right time. I like how the story is told, with the motion from left to right of the seeds blowing away and the "just right" amount of seeds left on the plant, hinting at the ones that have already blown away. So nice how the little parachute seeds float on the breeze. Nice capture and creation, love the shallow depth of field.

Thanks Jackie & Kerry! Jackie I did do a version with less yellow, and should also do it with this one. We have black bears here, not Grizzly bears, thank goodness. And now I take the dog with me when I photograph. He'll be a good alarm!

Beautiful flow and sense of a breeze blowing from left to right. Nice bright greens and whites--summer! I might slightly darken the white head of the dandelion (or whatever it is called). This is the type of photo I admire and want to take, but never do. :-)

I think you didi this just right. Nice image. Sharp detail fading into creamy softness.
