    Default Short-eared Owl

    Hi

Following on from yesterdays post, another owl image this time not on a double perch!!! This shot taken in the late afternoon winter sun was cropped quite close I was looking to create a potrait of this beautiful bird.

    Taken with 1Dmk2N and 500mm lens at ISO 125 F8 at 1/320s.

    Cheers

    Rich

I like this interesting perch much better than the perch in your previous post. Soft, beautiful light and a nice pose, that could only have been improved if the bird had turned his head a bit more toward you. like the low perspective very much. IA lovely portrait of a gorgeous bird.

I like this one much better. Great angle, details and eye contact. Well done!

Very nice. The way the perch and the tips of the tail feathers end in roughly the same plane creates a nice balance.

The BG compliments the image nicely and the EYES just pop! Beautiful!

Beautifully done, If it were mine, I would crop a tiny bit from the right. Minor though :)

    Hey Rich,

This is a wonderful image. The only thing that bothers me is the little stick behind the tail. Clone that out!! :)

Beautiful image and a killer BG and perch. As linda mentioned a little more turn towards the camera would be nice but wonderful image as presented. Rich !!!

This one is awesome! Just a great image overall. I would maybe clone out some of the more prominent BG grasses.

What a stunning capture of my favourite Owl, Rich! No nits from me. If he was looking at us though, this would be amazing!
