Was in the hide for little owl but this magpie came in for free meal however being chased off by the owls. It is common bird but the lights is so good I cannot hold my finger from the trigger

I can understand how you couldn't resist tripping the shutter for this image!!! The light, colors and setting are simply divine. Your whites might be blown just a tad but it's small in the frame so not much of an issue. I think there is a lot for the eye to see here.

    Hi Robin
This image has a magical feel to it. Love the setting
I know what a pain mapies can be with Little Owls. They killed two of my young ones last year. Thats the problem with youngsters leaving the nest early.
Nits pointed out with the bird on this one but still an attractive image. ( Better with a LO on the post though !!)

A very nice image with nice light. The iridescence of the feathers is nice.
Did you know you can post your images larger 1200 pixels x 900 pixels?
I think the larger size would really give this picture a boost.
i also see a band of dark green along the back of the bird that distracts a bit. I would blend the area in,

Hi Marina, yes the white feather is blown out nothing much can be done there now ... :(

Hi John, thanks for your comment from someone pretty much local. The little owl couple been very good in taking care of the young.

Hi Gail, uploaded 1200px to 500px but when linked only shown smaller version?
