These little birds are sporting their breeding plumages at the moment and they are indeed beautiful.

The morning had been cloudy and I was able to shoot later than usual...unfortunately, the sun popped out just prior to my locating these, but I don't think they are too bad for a high intensity lighting situation.

Photographed yesterday in Plymouth MA with a Nikon D300, 500 AFSVR and TC14EIITC...using a UNIWB preset rather than the cameras standard WB values.

Very nice low level perspective Jim. I like it a lot. Beautiful breeding plumage.
I would crop a bit from the bottom.

Great angle, light, details, breeding plumage and pose. I agree on cropping some off the bottom and maybe add a tad at the left side.
