    Canon 1DX Canon 500mmf4 & 1.4TC Manual mode, ISO 640 1/2500 sec f6.3, hand held
    Not the most exiting image I must admit but I had to get a post in! This is almost straight from the camera I have just opened the shadows very slightly. I presharpened in ACR at the standard setting of 25, and forgot to mask but I don't think it matters.

    (FWIW I am blown away with the new camera I am absolutely amazed at just how quick and decisive the focus is with the TC. I will get round to doing some micro adjustments over the next couple of days assuming the rain stops for an hour or two - which I am afraid to say is not very likely!)

    Nice shot Jonathan. You did well controlling the blacks and whites and you have nice details. There are some distracting leaves in the foreground but still a nice image.

    Yes, the 1DX is a game changer!
    The tail is awfully close to the edge so if you don't have any more room I would trim the tail to the little indent,

    Gail, I already cheated - the tip of the tail is false it actually went just to the edge! I agree though maybe a bit more.
