I must be in an abstract kind of week! While walking the dog I found a tiny intermittent stream with lots of crystal clear bubbles lining the edges and bottom of the stream. Straddling the water & bending awkwardly over the tripod I used a 100 mm macro lens with a 36mm extension tube to take the pictures. I do admit to getting wet and muddy trying to find just the right point of view, and thinking how much fun it was playing in the water ! The late afternoon sun coming through the pine trees added great highlighting to the edges of the bubbles. For post-processing I used Pixel Bender oil paint, topaz clean 3 curly smooth (new update for this plug-in), topaz simplify watercolor II at multiply blend 83%.

Interesting abstract Nancy; love the organic look and the combination of filters you used. This reminds me of something from a science fiction movie, where they find the cavern full of creature eggs.

This is crazy cool Nancy!! I really like it. With that original capture you could have loads of fun with different colors and effects. Your persistence in the water/mud sure paid off!

Really like the colours. Again I think it could be cells or something microscopic. Very well done.
