This is one of a series of shots taken of this Lesser Spotted Eagle while harassed by Hooded Crows. The serie was taken in Eastern Rodope Mountains in Bulgaria (close to Greek border) on last saturday.
Great find, nice eye contact and details. I wish we could see the underside of the bird's left wing better. Maybe you could apply some selective S/H or curves on that part.
Ivo love the sharpness and exposure !!! Would wish for a different wing position. Very difficult bring detail in the under wing. As soon as you start lightening it will turn ugly with noise and generally look like mush. I'm Sure Robert O could come up with a way to lighten but will be some high end work.
Best to avoid the shadow by having the wings up. Photographing a bird with the wings out from the side is like photographing a pancake according to Artie :) As presented I might take some from the top a bottom for proportion. Looking forward to more eagles !!!
