Nice one Joe. The tip of the near wing seems to have a patch of low contrast that I would try to fix, otherwise looks good.

Hello Ian, thank you for viewing and commenting. You have good eyes. I should have listed that I extended the canvas for composition on the top (wing tip was a little tight), the area of low contrast was sloppiness on my part. The opacity of the sky encroached on the wing feathers. Here is a corrected repost.

No worries Joe, you have done a good job patching up that little glitch. Cheers, Ian

Good, solid image of a GBH.
I like him big in the frame like this but could see a version with more room in front.
I see a yellow-green cast under the near wing. What was he flying over?

Hi Joseph, great flying pose, and you have captured good feather detail - nice and sharp too. I too see a cast under the near wing.

Thank you all for taking time to view and comment. I see the yellow/green color cast under the near wing. The heron was flying over and not far above the green vegetation of the marsh. I am sure the color cast is reflected light from that vegetation. I guess the question is remove it or leave it? I go back and forth.
