This is about as good as it gets. Congratulations, Alan!
Absolutely perfect, Alan! Beautiful complimentary colors of the bird, perch, and bg. Great pose and excellent composition, and it's cute how the bird has one foot on each branch of the perch. You even spelled the name right...I always have to look it up!

What can I say....other than the expected "I hate you". Each and every image that you post is a fine work of art........each detail well thought out. The colors, BG, pose are superb. I suppose that one could nit about the use of a perch that was broken at the top...but it does have a weathered look.

Very nicely done.
Question:
When you selected the perch, did you count on the "Y" at the end resulting in a spread-legged stance?
Hey Mr. M, this is pretty darn good:eek:
I can't offer anything constructive in improving this image. Sweet as can be Alan. ;)
What a poser, you really got him good.
Love this avatar ;)
Wonderful image Alan. Just a bit too much perch for me.
Lovely shot buddy...............and a BIG thank you for changing your avatar!!
Gorgeous!!
Unbelievablely beautiful Alan. Everything is coordinated so perfectly. Amazing !!!
Hey Alan,
Great to see you posting here. You have been hugely inspirational and influencial to me in my own photography so for me personally its a real treat to see you posting at BPN.
As for the image - well - its pure Murphy perfection :)
I hope I can get these guys when I come down your way in a few weeks :)
Bird, posture, light, backgrount, detail..... everything is top
The composition and colors are perfect.BG is a killer!!!Great image!
An absolutely superb image. Congratulations.
A usual very high standard "Murphy" image. The only nit I can see is my eye is drawn to the bright patch of Lichen. If it were mine, I would tone it down. But it is a truly outstanding image as presented, Alan. :)
I'm speechless
