    Green-tailed Towhee (Pipilo chlorurus) Mono Lake, California, United States May

    1DMIV, 500, 1.4, 1/640 sec; f/7.1; ISO 400, Gitzo, wimberly. vocalization used. Basic processing in PS CS6 with two small dead branches removed from lowers left corner.

    Sweet looking little Towhee. Perch is beautiful, as is the pose. I almost wish the oof flowers weren't there, since they overpower the bird. Did you consider toning them down a bit? Bird and perch just slightly oversharpened.

    Very nice pose, great perch. Techs and details look spot on (although I wish the image was posted larger to better view those details). I like the idea of the oof flowers in the bg but I too think there just may be too much of them. Great colours on them though!

    I think the flowers and those amazing colours made me want to look again and again at this beautiful image, wish the OOF ones would be a tad more subtle but I am absolutely smitten with the little bird, what a lovely capture Rick, thank you for sharing this, just lovely!
