The American coot babies were wondering if the spiky thing is edible. The leftmost one finally decided to give it a shot, but the center one prevented it from biting.

    Canon 1D-X + 400mm f/5.6L @ 400mm, f/5.6, 1/8000, ISO 800.
(I wasn't prepared for this shot, so please ignore these numbers)

Great shot of these three. I've never seen coot babies before so this is great to see. You captured some nice reflection here. Well done

I love the soft golden background and the poses. Nice low angle really works well on this shot. Great job Sridatta.

Lovely scene, gorgeous colors, light and low shooting angle. Have never seen cootlets in real life. Very pretty.

Very nice Image. Like the fact that all three are on the same focal plane, they have great HAs and they are sharp. Very appealing water color. Well done

Beautiful shot, with great moment captured, nice water color, perfect HA and focus on all three birds, and nice story. Checks all the boxes. I might have tried taking a bit off the bottom as an alternate comp, although I love it just as posted.

Excellent image. Very nicely composed, tack sharp, nice reflections and HA of all three of them. Love the frame.

Beautiful indeed, love that golden tinge on the water and the subjects are too coote! I mean...cute! Nice and sharp and stunning reflections, well composed - it looks as the two on the left are having a conversation...enjoyed viewing, very much!

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
