    Default Indian Buffalo - Domestic

I was birding at a lake near my city when I spotted some buffalos grazing & they decided to beat the heat (its 40 C here now) & took to water to cool them selves.

Good capture with the head looking up and at you, both ears straight out with the curved horns above. Would consider cloning away those two tiny bits of white just at the top of the head, between the horns. Might also crop some of the very pale water from the top, putting more emphasis on the buffalo.

Hi Sanjeev, always nice to see image of a new species. These guys look quite different than the cape buffalo of Africa or the water buffalo in Vietnam where I grew up. Good eye contact and details. Light was a bit harsh, but you handled it well. I'd suggest reducing the exposure by ~ 0.3EV to bring out more details on the body and lessen the brightness of the water and do another round of sharpening. TFS. Loi

    Hi Sanjeev ,
    unusual posting , a house cattle ……..
Nicely processed you made your way …. for the better .
Like the overall comp with the curious look up of the subject.Overall good tones , but i am with Loi about being a tad light .

So here is a RP with some more tones and a little magic touch up , no sharpening applied . Does it need a rotation ? angle looks a bit strange , but you were there.

    TFS Andreas

Sanjeev - when you say "domestic", does it mean they actually "farm" with the buffalo?
Andreas addressed my initial concerns with the image (especially leveling). You handled the harsh light well.

Yes Morkel, in India buffaloes are kept in farms mainly for their milk, which is popular here. I agree there is need for rotation of the image as I remember the tripod was not levelled. Thank you all for your comments and suggestions.
Andreas, I like your RP and it does give a boost to the image.

Great details on this one and nicely processed. A small increase in contrast has helped.
