    A female Blue Rock Thrush I photographed today, near Cordoba (Spain).

    Nikon D7100; Nikkor 200-400 f4; f:6,3;s:1/250; Two flash work at 1/8; Tripod; Blind; Feeder (
    Yellow Mealworm)

    There's a lot to like here, and I think you did a pretty good job with your set up. It sounds as though you worked hard for this shot. Your perch and BG are lovely, although I think the image would have looked better without the flowers b/c they don't look as though they belong there. Your exposure looks good and you have nice details in your feathers.

    Hi Pepe,agree with Marina re the flowers but that apart you have a really nice image of this bird,that BG is superb.

    Excellent flash work, gorgeous background and nice IQ. I too felt that the flower don't add much here. TFS.

    A nice image but I wish for a little more sculpting of the light -- more shadows that show the round shape of the body. When I move my main flash well off-axis I'm getting much more defined lighting. 30-45 degrees works well, and the results have surprised me. Even with just one flash (no fill) I'm not getting what I would call hard light but I'm getting much better feather detail.
