    Default Flying Gannet (with a mistletoe)

    Seems to me, that this gannet brings a misteltoe back to "his girlfriend"

    I love the fact that your gannet's face is sharp and that he is bringing in nesting material to his "girlfriend." The eye is clear, and he's giving you a little look. . I like seeing his feet so well. In this particular case, I feel as though the blur in the wings is a bit distracting. With a 1DX, you have so much room to push your ISO. For bird photography, you rarely need to be at this low an ISO. On my Canon 1D4, I keep my ISO at 800 as my go to ISO. THe higher iso would have allowed you to shoot this with a much higher speed.

    Amazingly sharp eyes and feet--the face could stand a bit of selective sharpening. I love the look with the heavily blurred wings. Let's see more!

    Thank you ! it was my aim to get the head sharp and the wings (the motion) unsharp, so i have chosen the settings.
    Here is another one and one late in the evening sun.. but without the mistletoe ;)
