    Default Brown-crested Flycatcher

    Canon T2i + 400mm f/5.6L 1/1250 f/5.6 ISO 400 Handheld

I captured this Brown-crested Flycatcher sitting on a perch I placed near the nest which is in a bird house I built. The flycatcher had just caught an insect to feed to it's young. I was not using a blind but standing very still nearby.

    The only edits were:

    +25 contrast
    +21 whites
    -26 blacks
    -100 highlights
    Cropped

Stunning sharpness and detail, great tonalities! And I love the BG! Do you have just a little more of the image on the right? People here have convinced me that I don't care for the squarish crops I used to do a lot.

Thank you Diane! Is this better?

Yes I have plenty of room everywhere except the bottom, the first image was cropped about 40%.
