From Fort DeSoto in March, this Merganser came walking out of the water and just seemed to be doing a little 2 step for me.

D4, 600 mm, 1/1600 sec @ f5.6, iso 1600, tripod. Enhanced the eye catchlight, added detail to the whites, NR to background and sharpened only the Merganser.

Thanks for looking, all C&C appreciated.

Love it ! Nice bright image with some action. I reckon you could drop the gamma a tad - not too much or even beef it up with levels or something . Not too much - don't loose the vibrance,
These are spreading up the rivers here and there is conflict building with fishermen. Theres always something !!
    Cheers

Thanks John, just adjusted the levels a bit. Your suggestion was a good one.

Love everything about this image. The wings spread, the HA the IQ. It stands out from the light background. Well done John.

    Regards
