This is the same female Evening Grosbeak as my previous post. This image is however a composite, a vertical panorama of two images stitched together in photoshop. The red background is from an OOF Red Japanese Maple. DOF at this distance is very thin @ 840mm.

Canon 5D Mk III, Canon 600 F4 IS II, Canon 1.4x Teleconverter Series III, Kenko 20mm extension tube, tripod mounted

ISO 800, f/7.1, 1/1600, Manual Exposure Mode on a cloudy day @ 9am. Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada

Photostitching done in Photoshop and minor adjustments done in Lightroom.

Nice perch and BG, good HA and sharp head but the bird is too big in the frame and the OOF tail/body has become distracting. you could take out the TC and extension tube to get most of the bird in sharp focus and also leave room for composition.

    Arash,

I agree with everything you said. In my earlier post (forgot to mention in this one) I was setup for hummingbirds at close distance when this gal showed up.
