    Default Pied-billed grebe photo session

It was a great sunny day Yesterday and I had the chance to "sneak" a photo session with a Pied-Billed grebe.

The day was great, the wind was soft and, well you let me know the rest :)

Nice water patterns and colors. I'm quite fond of these little grebes and find the pose very cute and don't mind the lack of eye contact. A lower angle would have been nice.

Hi JD I think I might have gone for a horizontal composition. The reflection is not strong and would like seeing the grebe larger in frame !!!

The sun was high in the sky creating shadows. Might be able to soften the one on its neck a bit, Not sure if flash would have been able to anything at that range. In this case your best friend would have been an overcast day with no sun !!!! Soft early morning light is always best !!!

A cute glance skyward but a poor sun angle that left the right side of the bird's head in shadow...
