A very nice capture in good light with nice background and excellent detail. The eye highlight looks just a little big for my liking - is this two highlights, one from the sun and one from the flash? I also wonder if the flash has added much other than the highlight as it must be terribly weak with a shutter speed of 1/5000 sec and -2.3 EV compensation.

Thanks Ian. Removing the extra flashlight helped. Reposting the image, this time processed in DPP to render a few extra details in the underparts.

Very nice work Sridatta. The use of flash has really helped to bring out the color differences between the feathers on the back vs the wings.

Nice pose and wing positions, sharp details and good exposure. My only wish is that the primary on the far wing was not missing

Pretty cool that you used a flash for a BIF shot. It really made a difference in this shot as the bird has no shadows and the wing detail looks great. Nice pose, BG and colors. Well done.

Nice shot Sridatta. It was fun watching you work with the flash system. I think that perhaps the flash helped bring out a little more of the subtle colors and details on the near wing.
