Captured this kestrel when I was out for a stroll this evening. This is the same kestrel which I posted earlier, It was perched on a tree near to the nest at the castle.

Thanks for having a look and any advice appreciated

Hi William, that kestrel pair is providing you with lots of good photo-opportunities, it's nice to see a little of their world. For this image I would cover over the small patches of blue sky, they are distracting to my eye, and a little more room all round would be my preference. Regards, Ian

    Hi William.
Couldn't make my mind up about the blue but after looking a time or two I reckon they do distract a bit.

Hi William. I really like that puffed up look you captured. Removing those few blue spots would help to make the Kestrel pop even more.

Fantastic light makes this guy pop off the background. Great looking bird, all puffed out and you've captured terrific detail. I like it.

William, very nice bird and light. The spot light effect works well here. Too bad about the blue sky poking thru, otherwise you would have a lovely BG. The steep angle is not ideal, but you couldn't help it. Is there anyway you can try a set up at eye level in good light? Loi
