I agree - Ithink a little more space all around. Large in frame does bring out the detail in the bird but sometimes a little too much maybe. Still a fine shot.
PS I always like a bit of background variation but thats just a personal taste

Yes, I like this one better! The color is more subdued here (not so saturated) -- I don't know what it should look like, but I find the lower saturation to be attractive.
