Just beautiful, Morkel. Love the composition and the stacking of order. If there is one thing I wish, that would be to have a catch light in the eye of the one in the back. Perhaps brighten it up slightly would make the image better. TFS. Loi

Was this taken at Mata Mata, Morkel? Love it, don't remember seeing it before, maybe you posted it before I joined BPN. We saw two young males at Mata Mata last February, that memory makes me think of these youngsters. They were resting together after a kill, tummies full, belly index high. The next morning we only found one, very agitated and calling desperately for his brother, indifferent to our presence and he walked past our vehicle as if we did not exist. The other people present thought this was a pregnant female, until she - in fact HE - turned around and walked away from us... We could only assume that the two were probably separated after the kill, maybe lions or hyenas interfered, not sure. We took numerous images of this young male as well as some video (amazing sound of his calls, a mix of miaows and loud purrs ) and later watched him disappear into the dunes.
Beautiful capture Morkel, lovely light, so warm, almost golden - or shall I call it "Kalahari light"?
Warmest "Kalahari" regards,

Great family pose! Love the "cluster" look of the heads & legs at one end and legs & tails at the other, as well as the mix of standing & sitting. I find it interesting how the youngsters seek that close physical contact with the mom, even after they are weaned. Very nice having no vegetation interfering with the cheetahs and a nice even row of blurred vegetation in the bkgd. I see what Andreas has done, but can't decide between the two.

Morkel - Terrific grouping and comp. Nice light and huge cuteness factor.

Great family portrait Morkel and a good low angle! Pity they did not all look straight at the camera...

Beautiful shot love the light and the texture in the fur. The two versions are remarkably similar, either work for me.

Sorry Andre, missed your remark.
This one was called "Gerthie" - not sure where she's roaming these days.
