I like the pose, simple perch is not bad, IQ is lacking unfortunately, the image is very noisy with soft details.

Thanks for the comments, even if it's negative. I still need to get more skilled at evaluating my images correctly, that's why I appreciate the comments, because after I read what you guys have to say, then I can see what I didn't notice in my own images... :-)

    Hello Conrad,

I love the pose here from these little Swallows, they are so cute the way they cuddle together. I also like the placement of the subjects in the frame and that lovely clean BG. I agree, unfortunately the IQ is not quite there, wish you had pushed the ISO to get more than 1/320s (were you concerned about the noise perhaps?). Although the subjects seem absolutely still there must be movement there, one needs to get more shutter speed, try to experiment more and when you see something so special maybe shoot at various F-stops. Is this a big crop, Conrad?

Thank you for this post, I enjoyed viewing, so many swallows around here but always in flight, for some reason none of them nesting or perching in my garden...

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Thanks Gabriela, I'll have to go back to the RAW image to see how much I cropped, I can't remember since I took this pic back in January (I think). Maybe I also overworked it in Photoshop.

I'm gonna edit it agian and see if I can get it too look better.
