    Default Mallard - wing flap

Hi, this one is from the last week, shot in a nearby park. A mallard flaping(i believe this is the right term) its wings in the late afternoon light.

thoughts and critiques are much appreciated. I have learned allot with this forum in the last months, and for that i am grateful.

    Luis:

    Sorry I missed this earlier.

Your timing was excellent, like the small angle of bird towards us, shows both wings well. The flipped up tail feathers nice as well

The image looks a bit overexposed to me. The whites on the rump are in the 250 range and aren't showing much detail.

I would suggest returning to the raw file and see if you can reprocess is with the intention of lowering the exposure enough to save the whites. Not always possible, but worth a check.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers
