Default Looking for tips on photographing WoodThrush

I am not sure if this is the proper section, so if its not.

Anyway I have been trying to get good photos of WoodThrush for a while now and I have not had much luck other than getting it on random tree branches. Does anyone have any tips on getting one on to a perch?

The only thing I can think of is what the leader of our group used on our last outing, a bird call. Even with
that it'll be tough especially since they like scurrying the ground. What we did was setup the speaker
near a log and got lucky when one jumped on it.
