I returned to see how the foxy lady was getting on, I still have not seen any cubs yet but they are there. I am not pushing my luck if she allows them to be seen fine if she doesn't well that's just fine too, it's been a privilege to photograph her.
A little selective sharpening and I enhanced the contrast in the sky, that's about it.
    All C&C welcome.

Hi Jonathan , i think for me by far the best in this series of this very tame fox.
Very good comp , overall tone and contrast and the sky that really add depth to the image , not like a plain blue one.
i only have too little suggestions , as always a matter of taste. I would slightly reduce the yellows and go just a tad darker overall , but would use the RED channel as mask .

Very good job , at least for me.

I love the unusual point of view with the wide angle lens! The 2 simple layers of the bkgd of grasses and clouds allow the fox to stand out very nicely. Lovely glow on the face and eyes. I have a fox that regularly uses my property as a hunting ground but my dog considers it to be public enemy number 1 and promptly sends it on its way!

Jonathan, I'm with Andreas. This is the best of the series yet. The sunny, bright lit fox against the dark, multi-layer cloud of an impending strom, the hill tilting up at an angle, the pose of the fox. Love it. Loi

Definitely my favorite of the series. The lighting is great and I like how the head is above the hill line. Cant find a negative about this one. Very Nice.

Thank you very much every one for your comments. I will look into reducing the yellows - no problem - but the red mask bit I will have to discover!

Love the pose and really close perspective here, Jonathan.
To me, it needs a bit of leveling as the fox feels like it's going to fall over to the left . I also see a slight halo along the land/sky divide which can be fixed.
Other than that - definitely my favourite of the series thus far.

    Hello Jonathan!

I think I already told you how much I like your Vixen.

Tried to rotate just to see what happens, kind of an experiment, although I do like the perspective you created in your OP, but took the liberty to play with it anyway - hope you do not mind?

"The best of the series" indeed, I agree with everyone above - congratulations, I do hope you have more images of this lovely foxie to share with us?

A privilege to view, thank you Jonathan!

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Gabriela thanks for the rework I like it, in fact I will go back the origianl becasue added canvas all round, your crop would mean canvas to the sky only the vixen looks a little more stately in your version.

Thank you Jonathan! Oh yes, he is so stately and I just love the way he looks up to the skies! The word "visionary" comes to mind, as in "plan maker"! I must admit, after cropping I cloned in a bit on the bottom, left side, just filling in that bit missing.

I would love to see more, Jonathan. This little chap makes me think of my Kalahari jackals, only he's prettier

Warmest regards, have a great evening!
