Hi Folks; Opened in PS CC, and QM'd the bird and tree, then used Oil Paint Filter to create the digital painting. CC's always appreciated. Cheers . . . Gus

What is QM? I like the regal look and pose of the hawk. The angle of view emphasizes the regal look. I would clone out the bits of branches that touch the hawk. Also, there are some broad lines in the gorgeous blue sky that are lighter. Nice image and processing.

Hi, Gus, I like the textures that you got from OP on this one. Anita, QM is a "quick mask". I agree with Anita about removing the stick under the hawk's tail and blending in those whitish streaks in the sky. The tree or bush is very cool - what is it?

Hi Ladies; Thank you very much for looking, and your kind comments. I agree with you 100%. The cloning about a few minutes for a big difference Cheryl, the tree is a Hollywood Cypress, this one is about 50' tall. Quite often they are planted as very tall hedges. Keep smiling, Gus.

Like the effect, and the gaze of the hawk!

The effects on the hawk's wing look like dramatic tongues of fire, like something you might see painted on a motorcycle! I really like the singularity of the hawk and tree with just a solid bright blue sky. Agree with Anita and Cheryl on the streaks and the branch under the tail.

Hi Gus, I like how you isolated the bird and tree and only applied the oil paint to them. A couple of good suggestions above; a very likable image. Nice bold primary colors.
