    Default Cuckoo in flight 2

For those that prefer a wing down flight shot. In this case I personally prefer the wing on my previous post as it shows the barring on the birds chest.
    All details same as previous.

    Thanks for looking

I'm happy to say that I have seen the A3 prints of Ivan's images and they are a bit special and provide some of the best flight images of this species I have seen in the UK. These are not easy birds. Well done Ivan.

Edit:-Ivan ...thanks for the call regarding the Little Bittern. I got a text from Ian just after you called. I got to see the bird but no real photographic opportunities. Lots of birders and photographers, it rained hard for a while. The bird took to flight but since I was wedged in with other birders I could not do a flight shot. I did however get a very nice flight shot of a lapwing whilst it was dive bombing a crow so I didn't go home empty handed.

My preference would be the previous image you posted, but this one is pretty good just as well, Ivan.

It's hard to decide which pose I like better...they complement each other nicely side-by-side. Comp-wise this one has the edge though for me. Well done.

Thanks both. I like the wing position here way better but strangely enough the first one is much more dynamic. BTW, that is not the classic wings full up position. Not sure if this species can do that one.
