    My wife says this reminds her of something but would not elaborate.
    Poppy bud about to burst open.
    D7100
    Sigma 150 mm macro.
    Tripod etc etc,
    200 ISO
    30th @f5
    8 Stacked images. CZM
    PP in PSP7
    Curves. 70% of full frame.

    Women are a mystery, John. My wife says it reminds her of the postman, but I don't see the resemblance.
    A nice way to capture a poppy, getting a little of the color and a lot of their strangeness. Lovely background, excellent depth-of-field. Might consider removing the blemish. Ours I expect to pop tomorrow.

    Though I am usually not a fan of boxy crops but I love this. I am a sucker for poppy buds. Love the red. Would eliminate the single dark imperfection.

    Hi John. A very interesting flower with a splash of bright color ready to emerge! Very nice overall sharpness and I like the slight diagonal of the comp and the off-center stem. I would also suggest cloning the dark spot. This is very nicely done!
