    Little Bittern Ixobrychus minutus

    This is only the second Little Bittern I saw amongst the dense reedbeds in S' Albufera de Mallorca Natural Park. May 2008
    I have cloned out one oof reed to the left of bird.

    Aperture priority, iso 400, 1/200sec @ f/8

    Canon 30D
    Canon 500mm IS USM

    Great find, nice pose and soft light. I might sharpen the bird a bit more and give it more room at the bottom if you have.

    has a lot more punch if posted in sRGB colorspace...appears flat in Adobe RGB

    Nice pose and comp and I agree with Axel on the room at the bottom and with Dave on the flat look. Maybe curves in addtion to sRGB would help the give the image some more punch and help the washed out look.

    That is one nice bird to capture in the open..........we don't get that in the US too often! Nicely done........but do agree with above improvements.
