    Default Tulip blur

There is a beautiful bed of tulips in front of the alumni office at Colorado State University, where I had my career. This bed is almost done and will be replaced in a few days. I have spent parts of 2 days photographing it and hopefully can get one more in before the shovel!

This is an in-camera multiple exposure blur. Then I used topaz simplify buz sim split tone, some PS adjustments and added a frame from Nik image borders.

A nice in camera blur. There is enough definition to see the various shapes of the tulips, which I like. That dash of yellow on the right is a nice touch. The colors are luscious. The various positions of the tulips adds interest. What do you think of making the upper center between the tulips and the underside of the main tulip a bit lighter?

Hi, Nancy, I like what you've done here. The colors and shapes are beautiful and I like the paler vignette. I find the dark spot in the upper center to be a bit distracting - I think it could be just a tad lighter. If you did lighten that area then you might decide to lighten the underside of the main tulip as Anita suggests or it might look fine the way it is. Nicely done

Lovely subtle image Nancy. The reds are seductive. I am in agreement about the darker central spot. Somehow make it less prominent? The framing is lovely as is the yellow accent.

Thanks all for the good advice on that dark spot! Will do. I worked a lot on the lighter area in the upper right corner as I thought the original was too light. I was so focused I never even saw that dark area !

An in-camera multiple-exposure blur sounds like something with a low chance of success, but you certainly succeeded in making a lovely image. The reds in combination with the yellow and green combine with the composition to give a beautiful result.
