I captured this image of a Brown Pelican hovering before closing it wings to dive. The image was taken at Ft. Desoto County Park, Pinellas County, Florida.

Perfect in flight moment, Joseph. Love the head angle and eye locked in on it's prey. Nice detail, warm clouds and touch of blue in the BG.

Joseph, great detailed action, did it get it's fish?
Going over to Florida in August can't wait to see these birds in action again.

    Cheers Keith.

Amazing head angle! I can visualize the body following that absolutely vertical line, straight into the water.

This is a pretty special image, Joe. First of all the clouds really enhance the image. Mainly, that pose is just super and it's not easy to capture that perfect timing of a diving pelican. Well done.
