These used to be fairly common here but in the last few years are becoming hard to find. This Little Owl is in the top window hole of a stone field barn hence the slight upwards angle. I have cropped the photo in a bit for composition and filled in some of the black background where light was coming in through broken slates.

Thats a nice take Andrew. At least the stones are better than bricks !!! can't do much about that unless I ask the farmer if I can pull his barn down !
Like thre way the bird is framed. Pretty popular birds at the moment. I,ve got another for tomorrow.
    cheers

Hey mate pleased you have found one, not sure about mine yet. The bird looks near perfect to me and stands out well against that dark Bg,stone work adds interest ,all in all a very nice image.
Hope all is good with you.
    Cheers Keith.

I like the composition and tasteful colour pallet. Even the bird's eyes harmonize with the yellow lichen. Well done, Ian

Great shot the bird is well isolated and shown to great effect. You may wish to consider toning down the brightness of the large stone on the LHS.

An attractive image, I like the stance with the open feet. I think the black b/g really shows him off nicely.
