I captured this creature in my walk about at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. Summer is here there are fewer birds but the dragonflies are in abundance. The male has a green face and a green and blue thorax while the female is bright green.

Excellent composition and exposure and DOF is amazing! I wonder if the head and thorax will take a little more sharpening to show a little more detail?

You nailed this one, Joseph! Very nice lighting, pose, comp, background, sharpness, and DOF! If this was mine, I might be tempted to clone some of the specular highlights on the wing - but it's a minor point and not a big deal either way. Very well done!

I think this might be a Blue Dasher (Pachydiplax longipennis) rather than the Eastern Pondhawk. Compare the colors of the thorax and the tip of the abdomen.
