Taken last winter in Ottawa with Daniel. We had the fortune of having a beautiful sunny afternoon and a cooperative owl.

Looks like you were one of the lucky ones that got a bit of light on these shots. This is really nice Loi. Perfect exposure and lots of detail. Love the setting and the overall scene. Nice to get the eye well lit too. Well done

Woods in the BG and the snow below really sets it up beautifully
i love the way you have captured the wing spread and the wing position
in flight images i tend to miss seeing the eye clearly in such images but you have managed to get the eye perfectly, very lovely image indeed.

Lovely. Great exposure, nice wing and tail spread, the bird situated well against the zone of trees with just the right amount of BG detail. Well done.

David, yes I was one of the lucky one with a sunny afternoon, but it had its own challenges as well. The pupils were not as big as they would be on an overcast day and often there is a shadow in the eye. This shot was taken later in the afternoon with the sun playing hide and seek, making manual exposure a bit if a challenge. But it worked out well at the end.

    Loi
