Bird is not ugly. I like the head angle, only wish he was turned around. Background is a little busy, focus looks good and so does the exposure.
    Congrats and keep them coming.
    Regards,

james, from what i can tell it looks pretty good. posting guidelines allow you to go to 800 on the longest side and up to 200KB file size. would like to see it bigger. a lot easier to see the detail at those sizes!! Welcome to BPN!! cant wait to see some more from you.

Yeh, I kind of screwed the size up but I didn't know how to delete it from the website and start over!

    James,
A big welcome to the BPN family.
You can post at a bigger size. I do like the bird. The details look good as far as I can see. For my taste, I would like to see him in a much less busy background. Hey, glad to have you, looking foward in seeing more of your work. Congrats...:D

Interesting image, contrasting different perceptions of what is beautiful. I like the concept. Is the overall image a bit dark?

I guess I missed the first image? I very much like this, really nice colors on the starling, they do have nice colors, like the pose and the flowers too!

There seems to be a bit of a lighter ring around the birds head? From cloning maybe?

    Hi James !!!

I do like the pose with the look back and good head angle, exposure not bad but should lighten a bit. Settings should be recorded?

Bird is tight in frame and there is a halo around the head. Normally you don't want light objects within a dark bg and subject. I like the position of the bird in frame. Looking forward to many more !!! btw when you make changes leave the original and post another in a reply !!!

I won't comment on the photo as it has already been covered very well. Just want to say that the EXIF data is with the photo.

Bill, I guess I'm stupid but I don't know how to access the EXIF data with the photo. Can you help? Jim
