    Very nicely done John,
Like the composition and exposure. The details are sharp and good head angle. I like the soft hues of brown in the water...:)

Another very nice phalarope image, John. Good sharpness and pose. I like the colors and how the tones in the water tend to complement those of the bird. You might consider cloning (or quick masking) the dark area in the upper left corner. Well done.

    Hi John,
Do like the tones and color of the water but do agree with Steve on the dark spot........if you aren't against that.........I would prefer a little more DOF for tail to be in focus.........but that is personal preference. Nicely done

Thanks for the comments. Can't believe I didn't really notice that spot before. Now, it's the first thing I am seeing... Weird but hopefully part of the learning process. JR

Ah, an adult molting to winter plumage. Very nicely done and agree that the dark spot is a negative. Love the water and the light and I am fine with the d-o-f.
