    Pamela:

A big welcome to BPN! You will find it a great place to learn and grow as a nature photographer.

Striking little fellow, with vivid colors, soft background and well scaled perch.

Overall very nice fill flash. I might tone down the highlights just a bit to reduce the flashed look. It is most noticeable on the feet and perch.

Perhaps a bit looser comp, but that is personal preference.

Again, welcome, and look forward to more.

    Cheers

    Randy

Big, warm welcome to BPN and what a great first post. Super pose and colors, and nice use of fill flash. The tight comp here works for me. I wouldn't touch a thing. Well done!

What a gorgeous bird and you've got a great pose and killer sharp details.
The red channel is just a bit clipped. I'd pull that back a tad.
You're off to a great start. Big welcome to BPN Pamela and looking forward to your participation.
