This is a very nice capture William, one of your best I would say. The insect, is a bonus adding considerable interest to the composition. There seems to be a tiny bit of noise in the dark shadows which you may be able to improve with selective application of the median filter (radius 1 pixel) at the risk of having the blacks close up. Great job, congratulations. Cheers, Ian

What a poser! Appealing colours and light. Love the water texture. Great looking eye and yes, the bug in the bill is a huge bonus. It may be just me, but the sunlit whites on the neck seem a tad "muddy", did you darken them in post or is it just a trait of this species?

IMHO, besides loving this species this is a wonderful shot. The light, posse, bug, water drops in the head and detail, all spot on. My serious congrats William!

The insect is a huge bonus. Beautifully positioned in the frame. Excellent image.
